My practice explores the relationship between material, memory, and place through sculptural ceramic objects.
Working primarily with stoneware, I develop surfaces using slips and glazes made from soils collected from my family’s farm in Brazil.
These materials carry geological, personal, and emotional histories, reflecting an enduring sense of connection and belonging that I translate into tactile forms.
Each piece emerges through an intuitive process of building, testing, and responding. Raw and glazed surfaces coexist, creating tensions between opacity and depth, control and spontaneity. Through an ongoing material investigation, I explore how earth can hold traces of memory, absence, and transformation.
